« TODAY I WEAR//... | Main | MANIC MONDAY//this whole week is manic actually »

November 16, 2008

Today I am wearing a leather skirt (recently purchased from thrift store), an American Apparel tank top pinned to be worn as a one shouldered tank, a belt from my mom's old store, and Martin Margiela sandal booties.

Today my mom is wearing a vintage Flora Kung dress, Levi's jeans, her vintage lionhead belt, and Givenchy open toe boots

And to those who asked: the painting in the background is not a Clifford Still or a Franz Kline-it was a painting someone had tried to cover up but never finished. It was purchased from a junk store just as the owner was about to throw it out!

you and your mom are so adorable. do yall have any good tips for thrift stores in the southlake/fort worth area? that skirt is amazing!

Make sure you hit all the Goodwill's in our area--I found a beautiful vicky Tiel couture dress from the 80's at Irving Goodwill for $6.99 the other day!! Check out G.R.A.C.E. in Grapevine, and my all time favorite is Salvation Army on Inwood in Dallas--a treasure trove of vintage designer!! If you Google thrift stores in N. Texas, Google will pull up a complete list with maps! Happy hunting--Jane's mom.

A M A Z I N G!

I absolutely ,i>love your leather skirt with those Margiela's! (I saw the knee-high version in black last week and I had to mop the drool off the floor, haha! Am so so sad I didn't get them, I had just bought the Dries Van Noten top from my last post, and was feeling a bit of buyers remorse :( Doh!)

Judy: You look stunning! Those Givenchy's are just 2D4! Very jealous of you both! ;)

Photo of Fashion Fille

I am so envious of your mom's open-toe Givenchy boots! They've been on my wishlist for some time now, but I doubt I'll ever save enough money for them.

Photo of Farren

I love the all black. =) Everytime I think of leather skirts I always picture a whorish miniskirt and so this maxi length is so unexpecting. I think it looks really nice. And I love the Margielas. <3
