I recently styled a look for Michael Stars wearing some of their new spring collection recently...here I am wearing a sleeveless muscle tank and shirred skirt by Michael Stars with a Richard Chai shearling aviator jacket and vintage mens ankle boots.

Valentino was one of my very favorite collections from last week. I'm a huge Valentino fan and have also been crazy, crazy insane about their other line RED Valentino since it debuted a year ago. Red Valentino is so full blown, an unbending vision existing totally in its own space. I think what they've done is so admirable for a diffusion line today. I'm a complete sucker for sweater sets and they always do the cutest ones!

So plain yesterday. Wearing a thrifted turtleneck, Anine Bing jeans, Dries Van Noten pumps, RRL D-Ring belt, and a faux fur stole borrowed from my mom.
I have been really excited to share this series! I did three looks with three different vintage Chanel jackets, all with the Chimala denim ankle pants. I'm not exaggerating when I say I'm in love with these jeans.
First off is the classic black & white boucle Chanel jacket. Worn with a vintage flower brooch, Martin Margiela yellow puffer clutch, and Balenciaga sandals.
Next is a emerald tweed epaulette Chanel jacket, worn with the Chimala jeans, a lace camisole, vintage jewel necklace, enamel bracelets, and Dries Van Noten beaded sandals.
Finally, a classic cropped black & white vintage Chanel jacket with a massive Hanna Bernhard ram brooch, Monroe tissue tank, 1930s beaded necklace and 1970s beaded choker, Chimala jeans, and Chanel tulle bowtie booties.
Now here comes some real style!! While we were shooting this story, my mom's neighbors walked by with their fabulous 7 year old poodle Tasha. She's my new fashion icon. I want a pink afro and a black polo shirt now too.
I have seen so many pictures of Jenna Lyons wearing the Chimala jeans lately! I love the way she styles them. It inspires me to play with mine more. I am so glad I got these jeans, I debated for a year on them before I took the plunge and got them in November. I am getting my wears worth out of them! Nothing like 100% cotton denim. One day I'm going to post a huge rant about how much I hate stretchy jeans but that is another post for another day. The midi-length skirt can be a little challenging, especially in a form-hugging shape. Here I styled three different looks with the same skirt--hope you like it!
It can be helpful to break up the length and soften the severity of the pencil skirt with a feminine flouncy long-length blouse. A boxy jacket thrown over the shoulders and long beads keep the top from overwhelming the rest of the outfit. Worn with open-toe Givenchy zip-up booties.
A body-conscious skirt and a cozy sweater is a classic winner. The Balenciaga Glove sandals keep it modern and just a little bit tough. You can throw a fur stole on and it is a perfect evening look.
A puffer jacket and slashed-sleeve sweatshirt tone down the glamour of the super-femme shape. An easy to throw on day-time look. The Ann Demeulemeester lace-up sandals give the skirt the height it needs. I add this Japanese silk kimono belt (worn as a scarf) to so many looks.
