If you've been following my blog for the past few weeks, you'll see I was in Brazil with some of my blogger friends for an exciting project with  the Brazillian footwear brand Schutz. During fashion week they opened their first U.S. store on Madison Avenue. The store was beautiful and the opening was a blast! I fell hard for these suede cap-toe ankle boots. I love the pointed toe! I had to go back the next day and get them. Wearing them with my favorite Dre jeans by Rag & Bone, StyleNanda sweater, vintage scarf, and wet hair..haha.

They created tons of new styles for their Madison avenue store, so fun to see them all!

NY FASHION WEEK REWARDSTYLE MIX

 

I have been so excited to share the recorded mix of what I played at the rewardStyle ASOS party in NYC last Saturday! Thanks for the feedback I've gotten so far, what a fun night! Hope you like it old school, it's pretty disco!

CHEAP THRILLS

I found this skirt in the kids section at Target and had to get it--very Isabel Marant, right? You never know what you'll find! Worn with a Madewell belt and a thrifted sweatshirt I cut up.

LEATHER & ROSE

Pearl snap button downs and leather shorts...that's an easy recipe that even a lazy dresser like me can follow.

Vintage western rose shirt found in Tulsa, AllSaints leather shorts, black ankle boots by Marsell, and Rugby double prong men's belt.

Fun fact...we found a pair of underwear and a whole entire dog bed floating in a creek when we shot this. Must have been our lucky day.

 

NEW YORK MINUTE

Above is my favorite snapshot I got in New York--poor babies are all tuckered out. I am too after a whirlwind trip! Here are some Instagrams from the trip, so happy to see so many friends!

We were so fortunate to be hosted by the Mandarin Oriental in New York. What a spectacular view we had!

We were treated to a chef's tasting at the beautiful Asiate restaraunt in the Mandarin Oriental. It was certainly the highlight of the trip, if not the highlight of my life ;) You cannot believe the food we had! I will post more pictures soon.

When I said these were my favorite jeans, I wasn't kidding. I wore them 5 days out of 6. The cap toe pumps are from Schutz! I also got my new favorite pair of shoes from Schutz. More cap-toe perfection below.

I finally met the Beckerman Bite Plate sisters!! We have been Instagram friends for so long, I feel like I've known them forever! I love the Beckerman family!!

I jumped for joy when I saw these girls!! I wish I could do IRL with my internet friends all the time. Andy and Nicolette are the best.

One of the highlights of the trip was when I got to DJ the ASOS Rewardstyle party on Saturday night. Here I am with Leigh Lezark who DJed after me and Amber of Rewardstyle. So great to meet so many bloggers that night!! I will be posting a mix of what I played soon--keep your eyes peeled.

FAVORITE JEANS EVER

A lot of people have been asking me on Instagram what the jeans I've been wearing in New York are. They are Rag & Bone 'The Dre' cropped mid-rise skinny jeans. They are my ideal pair of jeans! A classic faded wash, perfect whiskering, straight leg, not stretchy, and with big belt loops. They run true to size.

I wore this to the Schutz opening--can't wait to share more photos with you! I'm headed over there now to get more pictures of the New York collection. Check back soon!

NEW FAVORITE BASIC

I have just arrived in New York and planned most of my outfits around my new favorite basic--a big sloppy sweatshirt with the sleeves cut off.  Went to Salvation Army and picked up a few sweatshirts to do this to. In day to day life I pretty much wear jeans and tees every day, glad I have these to switch up my lazy outfit repertoire!

Worn with an ASOS pencil skirt, a RRL d-ring belt borrowed from my mom, a Rugby hat, and Marsell ankle boots.

SCARLET HEART

Been wanting to shoot this Norma Kamali jacket for ages! It's very early Norma Kamali, it even has a metal zipper.  Worn with ASOS patent hot pants, Herff Christiansen tank top, and black glitter Giuseppe Zanotti boots borrowed from my mom.
