I arrived in New York last night, just barely got in before Nemo hit. I look at the snow piled up outside my window and these pictures seem like they were taken so long ago!

Below is my favorite part of the trip: the Weather Up. A little hard to find, but once you go in you will never want to leave!

This is a Tuxedo #2 and it is my new favorite cocktail!

EAST AUSTIN SUCCULENTS

 

 

We made a point to stop by East Austin Succulents at the recommendation of a friend, and I am so glad we did! The greenhouses and grounds were beautiful. They had a juice bar, a vintage store, and a mysterious botanical potion place in trailers. Definitely worth a trip to work out your green thumb, grab a juice and check out Elphas Maximus Vintage. They also make AMAZING breakfast tacos at the juice bar. I walked away stuffed.

DOG DAYS

If you've been following my blog for a while you might be familiar with my dog crew (Melanie and Jimmy) and my mom's dogs (Kim, Shelly, Miss Figgerbubbles, Townsend, and Staci). Life feels very dog-centric these days. We've just arrived in Austin with Miss Figgerbubbles and Jimmy (pictured above) in tow. The rest are safe with their respective babysitters. We love to stay at the W because they are so dog friendly!

I have to show you Shelly's pretty new haircut below. My mom loves to get her groomed like a princess as it is such a hilarious contrast to her tomboy personality.

MEET ME IN AUSTIN

I'm getting so excited to head down to Austin for an event with Paige Denim at the very cool Co-Star boutique on Thursday. I'm staying after for a few days to reconnect with old friends and hang out at a few of my favorite spots. Austin is one of my very favorite places to visit!

This Aerosmith tee has been passed from my mom to my sister to me a million times and back again. No one ever knows where it is, but somehow it ended up at my house. It's so soft and thin and comfy.

Worn with J Brand Vera jeans, a Daniel Wellington mens watch, Yves Saint Laurent sunglasses, a vintage Carlos Falchi clutch, fox fur collar, and Dries Van Noten slingbacks from seven years ago.

To those who have asked, yes, these jeans do run true to size :)

MY EASIEST OUTFIT

My easiest thing to throw on when I have no idea what to wear. A handsome coat, a coordinating button down, skinnies, pumps and a silk scarf to tie it all together. This sixties coat was an Austin vintage find from a few years back, I think it was twenty five dollars. I love it so much.

Also wearing Rugby Ralph Lauren skinny jeans, a vintage belt, a vintage silk scarf from the thriftstore, a Madewell blouse, and shoes courtesy of ShoeMint.

My lipstick is Kate Moss for Rimmel Matte Lipstick in 110, thought I should finally mention that as I have worn it for about five posts in a row!

HIGH NOON

This Ann-Sofie Back sweater is about five years old, it feels plenty loved and nubby. Worn with a vintage raccoon collar, vintage eel skin clutch, Maison Scotch La Parisienne jeans, and beautiful satin rhinestone bow shoes c/o Emy Mack. My orange nail polish is Julep's Gloria--so nice with an orangey lipstick.

A RAINY DAY WITH WARBY PARKER

Warby Parker is on a nation-wide class trip, and their most recent stop is Dallas! We got together at my mom's house on a rainy afternoon to hang out and try on glasses. We had so much fun with their team and I can't wait to follow the rest of their adventures on the class trip!

The beautiful satin pumps I'm wearing are from Emy Mack, who actually has some roots in Dallas herself! I am obsessed with all her shoes right now!
