COWGIRL COOL

I love that Isabel Marant did emroidered western shirts for her fall 2012 collection. It made me smile to see a little bit of Texas in Paris. I'm going to have to run to the thrift store and pick up a few more. The ones with realy beautiful embroidery from the 50's can get quite pricey, but that would be a great collection to start!

The SHOES were beyond amazing too--very funky, I want the boots!

 

YOU CAN ALWAYS COUNT ON PRADA...

...to do something different. I imagine these are quite polarizing...personally, I am all about the shoes for fall 2012. Particularly the orangey leather mary janes with geometric printing. I am a 70's girl at a heart!

When I came across this illustration by Megan Inghram, my jaw hit the floor. It really is too amazing for words--I cannot believe how many personal details are hidden in it! I'm holding my chihuahua Kim, wearing my vintage tiger dress and Fantastic Mr. Fox hat, sitting on top of my cat Gish who is wearing my octopus necklace and has my artwork printed on her chest!! KILLER BOOTS AT GIVENCHY

These boots were shown at Givenchy's fall 2012 mens show, but modeled by a woman. I think I can safely say they're some of my favorite boots in shoe history. I like the old world craftsmanship about them combined with their futuristic engineering.

Below is the full look! I love how the pailette sweater mimics the brindle in a dogs coat.

I wanted to take advantage of  this cool spooky light that occured before a big storm blew in. I dug a tutu out of the garage and my mom pulled out this old frame...and right as we were about to leave, the gold Marc by Marc Jacobs boots my mom had ordered from Yoox showed up! It was insanely fun to run through the woods in a princess skirt.
