Happy Halloween! I've been so excited to get in costume. I'm Amelia Earhart this year!

I have to thank the Frontiers of Flight museum here in Dallas for allowing us to shoot in their Golden Era exhibit. The day this was shot happened to be the day their regular Amelia Earhart impersonator was working, and she was kind enough to lend me the goggles and hat for the shoot. My lucky day!!

I am wearing RRL jodphurs, RRL belt, unknown patent and leather lace-up boots, washed silk blouse, and a children's flight jacket I got in Austin. (I'm afraid the jacket gives away many chronological incongruities, but hey, it's only a costume, right?)

The Rob Pruitt x Jimmy Choo collaboration is one of the coolest things to ever happen, so I feel super lucky to have been there for the launch party at the Fletcher-Sinclair Mansion in NYC this past week. What a party! The whole place was decked out Rob Pruitt style, and it was quite a sight to behold. The shoes I'm wearing are my favorites from the collaboration. The lining of the shoes is printed with the Rob Pruitt panda--possibly the cutest feature of the shoe.

As much as I love the shoes, my favorite part of the collaboration has to be the Angel Panda/Devil Panda cartoon.

I'm wearing the zebra print sparkly sandals sent to me by Jimmy Choo, Isabel Marant lace up pants, a vintage blouse, a vintage peacoat, and Yves Saint Laurent sunnies.

Above are some of my pictures from the party! Me with my friend Rocky, Krysten Ritter (I love her), and me with Sandra and Simon of Jimmy Choo.

I can't remember when my mom bought this RRL men's belt--must have been six or seven years ago. She found it at American Rag on a trip to LA. She's worn it almost every day since then. I am not exaggerating in the least. Above are some pictures of the belt's appearances on Atlantis Home. The d-ring closure looks so good. It kind of makes every outfit work. I tried to borrow it whenever I could, which was not often since she was usually wearing it. My mom has a knack for finding 'forever' pieces like that.

I had a few free hours to kill while I was in New York, so I headed down to the RRL store in Soho in search of this belt. I found it, and now I can proudly say I have one of my own! The leather does not have the lived-in look of my mom's belt yet, but it will get there some day! P.S. - the RRL store was amazing, heaven on earth for a Ralph Lauren fanatic like me. I highly reccomend a trip there if you're in town! I found the most insane stuff when I went.

You can purchase this belt here!

Geez, look at us in our cuffed up blue skinnies, pointed heels, wearing the same belt, walking black and tan dogs. This cracks me up!! Must be in the genes.

Wearing the Chimala denim ankle pant, white tee c/o of Elizabeth & James, Zara blazer, Yves Saint Laurent cage heels, and a Margiela clutch.

I did my Chimala jeans for two posts in a row...sorry, but that's how much I love them! I like that they are a bit of a challenge to style, because the silhouette is a total departure from the ubiquitous skinny jean.

I'm wearing the jeans I have been dreaming about for AGES now! I love Japanese selvedge denim and I've been eyeing the Chimala denim ankle pant on Madewell.com for over a year. I I finally took the plunge and bought them and I am so glad I did! The integrity of denim is amazing, and I love the loose fit.
My mom's neighbor was a Cher impersonator, and when his family moved they had an incredible estate sale. It was everything you might imagine--Barbie doll collections, Playgirl issues, lots of hats and sequins, and tons of fur stoles. That is where this mink stole with a velvet bow closure came from.

I am also wearing Roberto Cavalli sandals from 2001, watch c/o Daniel Wellington, and a dropwaist tunic by Raquel Allegra.
