I know we're only one week in, but if New York's fashion week was anything to go by, I have a feeling it is going to be a good season for shoe lovers. Here are some of my favorite shoes from last week!
I have fallen hard for the playful translucent spectator heels at Oscar de la Renta--they're so sexy. I can't decide if I'd choose the pink or the black if it ever came down to it.
These Marc Jacobs are the most amazingly perfect vampy fetish shoe shoe I've ever seen in my whole life. The curvy tapered heel, the placement of the mary-jane strap in relation to the toe box, the little button...sigh. It's too hot to handle. Have to get my hands on these beauties.
Charlotte Olympia did some amazing shoes for Peter Som last season and this season did not disappoint! I love the serious clunky shape juxtaposed with the cotton candy colors. What a pretty hint of purple on the pinky.
The strange swooping shape of the insole on the shoes at Phillip Lim really does it for me. It gives this shoe that kind of futuristic hoof-like shape that I love. I love all of the texture going on too.
Obviously the amazing preppy sock garters at Thom Browne contribute a lot to the appeal of these shoes. So cool. The high heeled oxford on the left is done so perfectly though, it's a concept that can go so wrong but the shape and detail on it is just perfect!
Here are some other notables...can't wait for next week!
