I was given this amazing orange faux python skirt by the amazing girls from Fruition when I met them in Las Vegas! I hope I can get back to Las Vegas to see them again soon, their store is amazing. I feel like a Spice Girl in this skirt! I'm wearing it with a 70s Chloe blouse, a Micheal Morrison studded belt, and Gucci wooden platforms.

I have to get rid of some magazines before my shelves collapse! I'm going to sort through them, I've got to keep my favorites!

Wearing Prada pumps, AG jeans, a cashmere turtleneck from a thrift store, and a vintage stole. I got the glasses from a vintage store in Austin.

Kim loves to read!

Toys, toys, toys!

I have so much fun when I visit Tokyo, but my favorite thing to do by far is explore all of the toy stores. You can spend hours and hours in toy stores like Kiddy Land and Hakuhinkan just tripping out on all of the cute (and bizarre) toys.

Luckily I can browse Rakuten's english site for cute Japanese toys. Rakuten is a huge online shopping site in Japan--their english site is kind of hilarious because everything is just ran through a translator. Check out this listing I found for a 'worn-out, exhausted plush leopard'.

Have fun browsing, fellow toy enthusiasts!

Notice anything different? I got bangs. I haven't had a real haircut in a billion years. All the better to minimize my huge face with I think, haha.

I also wanted to say thank you so much to all of the other bloggers and readers who retweeted Hanna Bernhard's story. HSN emailed us on Thursday to let us know they are pulling the pin from Iris Apfel's collection. That's very big of them! Nathalie is so happy.

The shirt I'm wearing is a 70's tee I got in Tulsa, it's the coolest shirt I have. I want to duplicate in a million color schemes. The skirt is 80's Thierry Mugler.

If you follow my blog, you'll know that my mother and I are huge fans of Hanna Bernhard's jewelry. Natalie is also a dear friend, and we were so upset and shocked to receive this distress signal from her this morning.

Natalie has always been so proud to have fashion icon Iris Apfel as a customer. Iris has been photographed wearing Hanna Bernhard on many occasions. It must have been a real sting to see a knock-off of her own jewelry splashed across Racked.com, under the headline 'Iris Apfel for HSN'.

My mom and I are so disappointed to see this. Shame on Iris for taking credit for a design that is not her's for the sake of lining her own pockets. Natalie and her husband should be compensated for this design.

Below is Iris wearing the original Hanna Bernhard toucan brooch.

And here is Iris Apfel's replica of Hanna Bernhard's design.

Below is the original toucan brooch that Iris Apfel purchased from Hanna Bernhard!

How disheartening. We always admired Iris's style. It is just awful to see her blatantly copy the work of our good friend. This isn't over yet, and you can be sure my mom and I will be on team Hanna Bernhard all the way.

Lace Up Miu Miu's

My lace-up Miu Miu shoes got here from Net-a-Porter! They are a hundred times more beautiful in person, the yellow on them is  blindingly bright! I'm in love. Best shoes ever.

We've had a really mild spring this year, usually it seems like its 100 degrees by March. So I'm trying to enjoy this breezy weather while we can!!

The tunic is a 1950's tourist piece from an Indian reserve in Florida that I found at a flea  market in Tulsa. Worn with some of my moms old turqoise she got in Santa Fe, AG jeans, and Roberto Cavalli sandals from 2001.

My mom and I have been working all week on an exciting upcoming collaboration with Monster High! When I first blogged about the dolls I never dreamed I'd get the chance to work with them. I love the design of the dolls, from their fangs to their fluttery eyelashes all the way down to their clunky boots. Every doll has an imperfection of it's own--Frankie Stein says her limbs come unstitched at cheerleading sometimes. Aww.  I think we've all been there. It's fun to have a toy that lets you get in touch with the monster inside you ;) We were so excited to get a big box of Monster High dolls from Mattel last week! It was like Christmas.

Here are a few behind the scenes iPhone snaps from this week!

Hope your Friday the thirteenth isn't too spooky ;) I'm going to go pick a scary movie!

P.S. Monster High has a fun Monsterfy Yourself app on Facebook--you can make a Monster High avatar of yourself! Here is mine.
