This great 70's blouse I'm wearing comes from Vintage Martini...it's a small designer, has a great Giorgio Sant'Angelo feel.  The leather asymmetrical pleated skirt I'm wearing is Ivan Grundahl, one of my favorite Danish designers. I got this skirt at the If basment sale in New York a year or two ago. The boots are Proenza Schouler. Worn with my ever-faithful Mr. We cross, a few other gold trinkets and turquoise bracelets from Free People.

These Louboutins are some of my favorite shoes, even though they don't get out much in real life because they are both extremely delicate and painful. These ballet pink tights sent to me by Hue inspired me to get these shoes out. Worn with a Jelly Garcia skirt and thrifted men's shirt, and tons of vintage gold jewelry.

Here are some random snaps from last week.

80's Moschino leather jacket with lion chain details

This vintage trapper hat keeps my head so warm.

Random outfit to grab lunch the other day--Ivan Grundahl turtleneck, 501's from What Goes Around Comes Around, Ann Demeulemeester laceup boots.

I got home from Palm Beach the night before last, but since I've been here my hands have been pretty full with our new family addition. Kim is an 8 month old chihuahua....her puppy mill breeder dropped Kim and her sister off at the pound. We found Kim through the Furever Friends adoption program, and immediately fell in love. She had to be spayed and had to have surgery for her cherry eye, but she came home this weekend and my neighbor babysat her.

In the end, my neighbor adopted Kim's sister, and now they live next door to each other...they are extremely bonded but I think the autonomy is good for both of them.

It's so sad to think that sweet things like Kim and Roxie end up in pounds--the chihuahua overpopulation problem in California is heartbreaking. A lot of these chihuahua's are being shipped all around the country to rescue shelters where they have a better chance of being adopted. I love chihuahuas...for all of their neuroses, their extremely complex personalities make them wonderful companions. My family was involved in bullmastiff rescue for ten years, it's funny that the strongest personalties really do come in the smallest packages.

Kim is totally precious--but admittedly a bit of a brat. She has to be held *all* of the time. To be honest I always wanted a dog like that. I have two toy mixes who are completely neurotic (but extremely lovable) and way too rough-and-tumble to really be lapdogs. Kim is sleeping in my lap as I type.

She has to wear a E collar until her stitches heal--her sister helped her take them out.

I had a blast in Palm Beach at the House of Lavande party. House of Lavande is an incredible vintage couture jewelry store--I could have spent days going though their merchandise.

It was so wonderful to see so many familiar faces! Garance Dore and Andrew Bevan were just a few familiar faces. I can't even tell you how much fun the party was, and I'm not doing the setting justice when I say it was breathtaking. Everyone looked incredible. Thank you for having me and my mom out!

I am dying to get back to Palm Beach...the vintage surpassed even my very high expectations. The town itself was like Disney Land, and I loved the architecture. It was like a 40's movie... uninterrupted opulence as far as the eye can see.

I'll have to come up with a scheme to get back to Palm Beach soon.

A quick post to answer some questions about makeup. Also an excuse to photograph makeup--who doesn't love looking at cute makeup packaging? I love make-up, and I'm probably one of the few people who believe that make-up is good for your skin. It creates a barrier against the yucky bacteria out there! I break out when I don't wear makeup...even if it's just a little bit everyday.

Pictured above and below are some of my everyday go-to products.

Kevyn Aucoin's concealer is goopy and rich--just a tiny bit will cover just about anything. Also, if you don't have a copy of his book Making Faces in your life, it's fantastic.

Guerlain's Meteorites are beautiful for evening your skin tone and adding a pop of shimmer, plus the round container feels very old Hollywood! Too Faced Absolutely Invisible Pressed Powder is the best for travelling and touch-ups.

Stila's Convertible Color in Petunia is a pinky cream blush that's also pretty on the lips. Sometimes I dust on a shimmery beige powder on top--I can't remeber the name of the one I use, I picked it up at Duane Reade! Sorry.

I have super oily eyelids so Urban Decay's Eyeshadow Primer Potion is a lifesaver. I love using a nude eyepencil under the rims of my eyes, I can't explain the effect well, but it makes your eyes look like a baby's. Nude eyeliners are hard to find but Mineral Fusion and Paula Dorf make one.

Lipstick Queens big fat lip crayons are so awesome, have one in almost every purse.

Eyebrow gel is essential too.

Here is some makeup I use for more special occasions..

For pale girls looking for very very pale foundations, Beauty is Life is great new makeup line that has them. This foundation is extremely lightweight.

The red lipstick I use is Serge Lutens--I believe its 'Or Frele'. The other one pictured is a beautiful pale pink by a Japanese company called Canmake. I always stock up on makeup in Japan for me and my sister--they have the most amazing products--and cute packaging. I use a Japanese mascara too.

Cargo makes a great shimmery pink blush--it from their blu_ray collection. I also like to use Benefit's High Beam luminizer on my cheekbones at night

I like shimmery nailpolishes because they stay on forever and silver goes with every shoe. I LOVE Deborah Lippmann's nailpolishes, every single shade. I use 'Birthday' as a topcoat on everything. Sonia Kashuk has a good chrome shade too at Target.

Hope this answers any questions! Maybe in the future I'll do a skincare/fragrance/hair post.

I'm in Palm Beach for an event at House of Lavande tonight. I'm about to go hit the thrift stores. Thrifting in Palm Beach is tantamount to paradise for me.

Have a great weekend!

This 60's shimmery gold balloon sleeved, palazzo pants suit is long overdue for a showing off. It's perfect with the gold YSL's. I don't think I'm the kind of girl who is going to show this suit the love it deserves. I know there is a girl out there who can do this pantsuit justice! It will be up for sale on Atlantis Dry Goods in a few hours, along with several other items my mom and I have cleaned out of our closet.

I'm glad I got to wear this pantsuit one time before I bid it farewell!

My red version of the Yves Saint Laurent platforms arrived from Vegas, and so did my moms...who ever said three was a crowd?

Wearing a vintage fox fur stole with a 70s wool challis printed blouse, a leopard skirt I stole from my mom, a concha belt my mom has had forever and ever, turquoise necklaces, Ann Demeulemeester triple lace burgundy boots. The earrings I'm wearing were a gift from the Hannah Bernhard team...they had just arrived in the mail before these pictures were shot so I had to put them on...they are exquisite! Thank you so much Natalie and Ferdinand!

Hope you're staying warm...I'm beyond ready for some sunlight right now!
