It was such an honor to be written up in the January Teen Vogue by Jane Keltner-thank you so much!

I have been super excited to announce the collaboration my mom and I did with Gryphon-what an honor to work with Aimee. My mom and I love Gryphon. Thank you so much for this opportunity Aimee!

It was thrilling to see our sketch come to life, and my mom and I both love the way it came out. How killer are the bell sleeves? Totally captures the post-apocalyptic aviatrix vibe my mom and I were aiming for.
The trench coat is due in stores at the end of the month-thank you again Aimee for this opportunity and thank you to Vogue for such an amazing write-up!

I've been wearing this vintage band jacket all week-a recent eBay find. Worn with silver Superfine jeans I recently cut into shorts, a pink silk scarf, and Proenza Schouler lace up ankle boots,'
That was fast...it feels like just yesterday I was wishing you guys a happy 2009.

What a crazy, crazy year it has been. The most exciting year of my life, no doubt. I would never in my wildest dreams have thought that 2009 would be so full of so many wonderful things. I've already got a lot of exciting things on my plate for 2010, but in a way, I'm sad to say goodbye to 2009.
My favorite trip of 2009 was the three week trip my mom and I took to Tokyo in June/July. An amazing mind-opening experience...and the best shopping ever. I would love to go back this summer.

In May my mom and I did a photoshoot for Vogue (the August issue)...being in a Vogue trailer jam-packed with next seasons shoes and clothes was basically my idea of heaven. It was amazing to meet some of the editors I admire so much!
Then there were the two fairy-tale trips to Paris...I would have never in a million years have though a girl like me would wind up being a debutante in the Crillon Ball. It was fun to play princess for one night-I'll never forget it. I must admit that being in the Chanel Haute Couture studios was the highlight for me! Thank you so much to the organizers of the ball...and to my wonderful escort Octavian!

In October of 2008, I was approached by Urban Outffiters to design a line of six shoes for them. It was so exciting to see my designs come to life in 2009. Thank you so much to Urban for this opportunity! And I love all of the pictures some of my nice readers have sent of themselves wearing my shoes-totally makes my day!

I have to say that the most off-the-wall totally insane thing that happened to me was being contacted by Mr. Kanye West.
We talked on the phone a few times-he's a really nice guy and he has great ideas! I look forward to seeing what Kanye will be up to in 2010.
Wishing a happy new years to readers, friends, family, and fellow bloggers-hope 2010 is even better than 09.
