SELF-PORTRAIT en iPHONE...part two P.S. I'm not a dropout

I've been snapping webcam & phone pics the past couple of weeks to put together for this collage.
I like how by looking at a picture of a previous outfit, I can remember exactly what I did that day....it's a nice trick for someone with a terrible memory ie: me.

I would like to address a misportrayal in a recent Wall Street Journal article which implied that I had dropped out of highschool to pursue blogging/other projects I've taken on.
This is untrue...I am currently finishing up my English credit and will graduate with the rest of my class in 2010.
Just setting the record straight...I didn't drop out of school.
xo Jane
How bizaare! Where do they get their (mis)information from? Tut tut!
Cute pics! :)
xx
the shirt in the middle is my fav!
Wow, I just read the Wall Street Journal article and I found it really condescending; as if to imply that you being overwhelmed by your mailbox wasn't true. This Katherine Rosman really needs to get a clue, start fact-checking and learn to write like a professional. You look great by the way Jane!
cool collage! ps love the headscarf
i just read the wall street journal article... what assholes!!!
how could you drop out of high school?! so silly. like your mom would EVER allow that!!!!
saw your shoes in my city's urban outfitters... i am dying to buy the knee-high boots & the gladiators!!!! too cute!!!
XOXOXOXO
love the outfit on the bottom to the far left
So does that mean that all you're taking is an English course?
I love doing this now that I have an iphone too :)
I have already commented on Judy's blog, but after reading the article I agree...there is definitely a darker subtle undertone to this article when they mention schooling. Perhaps it is only misjudgment but I think it appears to be very underhanded of them. Education is very important and I can't imagine the sh*t that Judy would be copping, I think it is great that both of you have decided to address this issue on your blogs, good on you!
Strange how they seemed to be directly quoting you yet it wasn't true! Twisting the context of the words I suppose.
hahahaha
but its so cool that the wsj wrote about you!!
keep it up, i am sure you will!

Gorgeous pictures, as always!
What has happened to journalism? I remember people used to get fired for printing false information! Sheesh...
Anwyho, I love the pics--esp the one with your amazing carebears n' bong tee with the Ann D heels!

Weird, why would you quit highschool? Isn't printing false info illegal? Well I guess not because of all the gossip mags. Anyway sweet photos!

I love your self portraits! Finishing school is worth it, it's over quickly enough and then you can move on to other things. It's good that you're still finishing despite your opportunities. xo
Very irresponsible Wall Street Journal! They should apologize to you and rewrite that article.
how annoying that they implied that!
i also remember events by the outfit i wore...
Glad you're cool, stayed in school.
I love the WSJ, but that happens sometimes. Cute collage, darling!
Love,
Jaime

Being mentioned in the WSJ is awesome to be sure, but really they need to get their facts straight! Love the collage!

You look fabulous as always-- love how you're rockin' the sheer stockings (one of my favorite looks)! Sorry about the misquote--they really made it sound like something it's not!
Can't wait to see the Lucky shoot!!

i love ur iphone photo
so different of Jane
i like ur pink jacket, is that from vintage!?
Style.com just tweeted that you are dropping out. Might want to email them and set them straight.
Graduating is best...good deal.
Nice collage Jane! And that false statement @ WSJ article. Stups. But that just means you're famous than ever now... it's like being in a tabloid. LOL. Rumors, rumors.
Really Like the dress with the bow and for some reason I thought you graduated in with the class of 2009.
haha read about that on atlantishome... good to hear :)
its crazy a source like that would publish that! im glad to hear you are finishing school though even though i doubt youll need it!
No need to drop out. You are young and talented. Glad that wasnt true.

Jane, is the pink bow part of a jacket or a dress? It's mighty funky.
Cecylia
Wth,, the article is quite condecsending. yeah. they would like that. pfff
It's all good, Jane. Just keep on doing your thing! It's amazing how haters manage to come out from everywhere when you start doing well. I guess that means your star is rising (or that "it's time for a promotion," as Nigel said in DWP). Keep your head up!
Thanks for the post! I always look at your blog so I can decide what I should wear to work! Such an inspiration!
I actually read that Wall Street Journal article (my mom put it at my desk, because she knows my love for your blog!) and I can't believe they had incorrect information! I also thought it was a little biting that they said your mailbox was so overwhelmed that you just couldn't respond to anyone. Well, regardless, I love your blog and I'm glad you're not dropping out! :)

You go, girl! An education is always important.
I can't believe a publication like WSJ got their facts SO wrong.
great collage - love the jewelled bangle you are wearing with the green top. is it vintage?
can't wait to see what other projects you have in store.

That was a back-handed compliment if I ever heard one. Shame on WSJ for stooping to such low levels!!
You'll show them when you end up with some kind of all-expenses paid scholarship to a great design school :)
actually, style.com didnt tweet that you were dropping out.
"Sea of Shoes Jane Aldridge opting to complete her senior year of h.s. remotely so she can focus on "other projects?" Hmm." - thats what they said. just to clear up what someone else said.
at any rate, glad to hear that it is not the case! as if your mother would let you drop out anyway!
collage is v. cute by the way! gotta love iphones :)
I'm a journalism student, so it pains me even more to see the media mess up something as severe as that.
Either way, I applaud you for keeping up with school!
It must be so weird reading from so-called 'serious' sorces that you're dropping out of highschool... like Gossip Girl but more petty.
The sucess you've had with the blog is amazing, and I think you're still awesome :)
i love that white slouchy top with prints in the middle!
gorgeous!

Jane, love the blog--always have! Sorry about the WSJ wording, but I think the point of the article worked--it sends people here and you were smart to put up the right facts. People will know you're finishing school and you've got this amazing blog...you're doing it all! :)
