Saturday morning

Today I am wearing a halter jumpsuit by Society for Rational Dress, a vintage ruffle bolero (no label!), sequin tube top from MNGO, Givenchy basket weave wedges, an armload of bangles, necklace from Urban Outfitters,

I have not busted out this jumpsuit for quite some time-I should wear it more often as it is very comfortable. Society for Rational Dress is a cool line. Check out their fall lookbook!

I am not going to a disco....as my outfit might indicate...today I think I'm going over to my friends house to bake cookies, make dream catchers and watch movies....

Ta-ta and have a nice Saturday!

I'm crushin'...

I can barely catch my breath to make this post you guys!
That is how beautiful these boots are!
Oh my I think I'm in L-O-V-E

These are so totally genius on so many levels.
Such a clean tall shape with that  slight arch and gently rounded toe...and just the right amount of skin showing-but  the foot is never totally exposed!! The seam running up the front of the shoe gives it such a nice lean lineality-and that zip up the back -it's just perfection!!
Honestly I haven't felt this way about a pair of shoes in such a long time...I am dreamin' of the day they make it to my doorstep.
xxx my heart belongs to you, Margiela.

This post is going to be extremely brief because I am babysitting a Neopolitan/Bullmastiff puppy and it is honestly like babysitting a baby tyranosaurus rex. The amount of destruction he can create in the span of one minute is truly terrifying.

But anyway-I was going to wear this outfit to get lunch in Dallas today and ended up changing into something warmer.

Miu miu skirt, The Row leather leggings (borrowed from mom-thanks!), Givenchy basket weave wedges, thrifted sweater, scarf from Urban Outfitters

I would have worn this if the weather had allowed. I am cross posting this from my mom's blog-she made
 this cool shirt yesterday.

Back to my babysitting duties!

a couple of things

1) Thank you very much to the kind person who nominated me for 'Best Teen Blog' in the 2009 Bloggies-I really appreciate it! Give me a vote, if you think Sea of Shoes deserves it that is ;-P

2) A cool Closet Project feature on Urban Outfitters-check it out!

3) I've started a new blog, and it isn't about anything in particular, just things I like....i
I named my new blog after one of the most lol-worthy lines in Twin Peaks

Haven't done one of these in a long time
Exhibit A; Bowie, Martin Margiela's one legged pant in a Dazed editorial, two bangin space ladies shot by Beatrice Neumann, "Arabs Crossing the Desert" by Jean-Leon Gerome, a cat
Exhibit B:
Exhibit B; Diane Lane the Fabulous Stain, Bowie again (and always), an old Yves Saint Laurent campaign (no idea what season), and Dries van Noten Menswear A/W 09.

What happens when Giambattista Valli is given free reign at a Moncler Gamme Rouge?

Something far far away from Moncler's signature puffer mountain jackets. He has created fluffy pleated, emboidered, and beaded concotions that would make Marie Aintoinette's heart skip a beat. There still remains a lingering element of Moncler's sportswear rep thanks to the zips and seemingly weather-resistant material of some pieces. All together it looks like a collection fit to cloth a space-age Czarina.

Today I am wearing: A sweater by Terasa Fadem, skinny satin pants by Joie, Ann Demeulemeester single lace-up boots, and a necklace from my moms old store.

Terasa Fadem is a local designer in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Everytime my mom and I make a trip up there we always stop by this boutique called Boulevards. They have all of her stuff there and it's always incredible. Not to mention some other pretty cool obscure designers too.
The necklace was made by a local Dallas designer in the 80's. My mom said the designer was really kooky-that she used a sledgehammer to smash up her kitcen counters and make jewlery out of them. How awesome, wish my mom still had more of her stuff!!
