I have to wear these shoes more!

Marni dress, Y-3 coat, Leggings, Giuseppe Zanotti t-bar wooden platforms

For some reason I've always felt like these shoes were 'fall' shoes. I love them so much. I got them at a Neiman's outlet during the summer last year (they had been there for months!) and I wore them for about a month straight. At the time I was having a wierd fashion moment and wore them with argyle socks and mini skirts, every day. LOL.

Here's a picture I took of the Giuseppe Zanotti's on my windowsill the one day it snowed this year.

They were good to begin with...

but they look even better on you.

Photograph taken some time ago by the Sartorialist, boots from Rick Owens Fall 2007.

P.S. Who is this fabulous woman? I'd love to see more of her. Maybe she'll be snapped by the Sartorialist again in Paris soon!

Oh my...

These Emanuel Ungaro branch heels are unspeakably covetable. I haven't had such a big shoe crush in a long time. But really, Ungaro shoes? Since when has anyone lusted after an Ungaro shoe?

Mctega jewelry and addictive plastic animals

I came across Mctega jewelry through Coolhunting the other day and was immediately drawn to their 'chunk' and 'triptych' necklaces. They have the same bare-bones luxury that I love about Tina Chow's jewelry. The  raw, organic look aesthetic of these pieces stems from Mctega founders Sarah McLellan and Kristina Ortega's backgrounds in pre-med and organic chemistry. And, did I mention they were former interns at Rodarte?

Another cool thing about Mctega? Their necklaces range from $92-$325. Pretty afforable for such a statement making piece.

I'm a minimal jewelry person-I prefer to invest in statement pieces that have sentimental value. That's why I flipped when I saw the Mctega 'Gilded Menagerie' necklace.

I know it's cheesy to say but this necklace is so me!

I collect other things besides shoes: amongst them are plastic toy animals. I can't place what it is that I find so compelling about these little guys but I can't seem to stop picking them up. I've accumulated quite a collection of them. This is only about half of my plastic toy friends. You don't think I'm wierd for collecting them, do you?

My octopus is my most special plastic toy, obviousely.

It's a cool idea, but I love the little plastic toy friends that I already have too much to drill holes in them and string them up on a necklace: you just get so attached to them, you know? Maybe I'll have to get my hands on the 'Gilded Menagerie' necklace-everyone should have a piece of jewelry that's like a little piece of them, right? That sounds lame but it's true: buy a piece of jewelry like this and you'll find yourself wearing it a lot. Perhaps something at Mctega sums you up perfectly?

Vintage Guy Laroche cape, 501's, acrylic Marni wedges

Old School Kicks-so retro it hurts but I totally want them anyway.

The shoes at Rodarte for Spring 09 are just as covetable as the thorny, poisonous mary janes Christian Louboutin designed for Rodarte Winter 08. Rodarte Spring 09 was beyond words-I hope to be in attendance of the showing of the collection at Barney's in Dallas this Wednesday. (You have no idea how much I am anticipating this!)

I had to do a double take when I saw these boots on the Browns Fashion website. Not the sort of boot I'd imagine coming from YSL. The cool thing about these is there is absolutely nothing modern about them-they're sort of Woodstock babe meets Foxy Brown but I could also see Sly Stone or Jimi Hendrix wearing them too. If I could wear these with anything I'd choose Sly's patchwork jeans and that to-die-for embroidered Dries van Noten coat.

Are those hands on your shirt?

My room is in the process of being renovated right now-see my pretty shelves? I ran out of room for my shoes...now I have a whole wall for them! The light in my room is so dim you can't make out the details of my outfit. Below is a better picture of the hands on my Comme des Garcons shirt.

Trying something on-

The skirt I'm wearing is part of a project my family is working on right now-sort of a rough draft.
Worn with Ann Demeulemeester boots, a Max Azria sweater, and a scarf from Morocco.

Have you been introduced to Denise? I don't think she's ever made an appearance on Sea of Shoes. She's shy to have her picture taken which is ridiculous because she is extremely photogenic.
