hmmmm...I saw this on a design website but I fail to see the message that Juergen was trying to get across...

I think the message is actually pretty plain. Women have a traditional role in European art as nude subjects, but the real women standing naked in a museum have quite a different effect. The female columns wear clothing, but it clings to their bodies and their nipples show through. The Mona Lisa and the other European paintings are from conservative time periods when female nudes briefly became unacceptable. The Grecian statues show men naked but performing some other task, indifferent to their nudity, whereas women in Grecian statuary were always motionless; standing simply, an object. They all confront the issue of the nude female in traditional art, and in fact some of them do it so explicitly that I'd more quickly think of it as heavy-handed than too subtle.

Crazy. I was at the Louvre just 3 weeks ago! AND not to mention back in college I did a Black and White nude photoshoot for a colleague in my class. She was trying to use real women and men posing greek and roman mythological stories/scenes. I did the "The three graces" and "the rape of______".... can't remember the goddess. In my opinion, humans are well, DUH, VAIN FUCKERS. Period...you can try to go around this on your tippytoes but...its TRUE. Paiters/artists have always tried to keep the truth alive through their work...past present and future we still somehow feel repressed by our nudity/gender/sexuality. Have some Autonomy for your life and happiness....and if you feel like being a VAIN FUCKER than do it. Props to Teller for redoing the saga that keeps getting played out year after year.
Have a good day, Jane.

The GREAT thing about PARIS, FRANCE is that...where else can you hit the Notre Damme Cathedral(catholic church) and Crazy Horse(famous topless cabaret) in one day!!!LOL

KABLAMO. I am a female body. I like this blog better than your other one. Its so much more indicative of your sensitivity. The roots of fantasy are a wonderful realm to explore. As much as I like clothes, I prefer straight up beauty. Good job with this post.

Oh my I am jealous of them, they get to visit the Louvre with no crowds. I wouldn't want to do it naked though...

I wish that I have the opportunity to be naked in a museum without repercusion, I have to admit that the younger is quite prety.

If it took being naked to be in the Louvre without crowds around, I would gladly do it. They'd have to beg me to put my clothes on and leave.

Ingrid JacksonHi Pete I love your daily pictures as a rule, but I don't love much of your steret photography. Sorry. In particular, this series and the series on Bold Street. You asked for feedback when you were posting the Bold Street pics and my brother posted some along the same lines as this but it wasn't displayed. However, I thought I'd try again. My favourite picture of yours ever was the one taken from the big wheel in Liverpool where all the shops and shoppers looked like tiny models. Also, some of your night time steret shots in Liverpool have been amazing. But there's something missing from this series, and the same from the Bold Street series. They just look drab and uninteresting. Other people may like them that's just my own personal opinion. Kind regards, Ingrid 2 Dec ’10, 9:22 am

Ingrid JacksonHi there. Yes, I tend to look for a moment or a story in steret pictures too. Perhaps every now and again I should view them in the same way I view landscapes? And yes Adam is my brother. Perhaps he was a little direct.. he can be! Many thanks for the response. Kind regards, Ingrid 3 Dec ’10, 8:38 pm
